Stuck clutch release bearing evom2/27/2023 ![]() Dudes im installing a evo 8 clutch /flywheel combo on my car. There is another place in Brisbane that offers similar quality but i've never used them so i can't vouch for them personally. Happy to PM people the establishment if they TRULY are after a clutch, i don't want you ringing up fishing and wasting their time or mine. The clutch in my RB25 was MUCH cheaper than that from the same place in northern NSW. The pressure plate fingers would break and you would be unable to shift gears. If the bearing were to lock up very rapid wear would occur on the pressure plate fingers every time you stepped on the clutch. Pretty simple eh? Unfortunately I couldn't see what the original problem was so we realigned everything and stuck it back on. now the car won't move at all, could this be due to the pressure plate i had a problem when installing the round circular clip that locks to the release bearing and engages/disengages the pressure plate.Thanks for the suggestions guys, took the gearbox back off which turned out to be a big struggle because it looked as if the thrust bearing had dislodged from the clutch fork, don't ask me how that happened but we successfully got it back off. ![]() Hi folk's i just got my evo on the road and have been wearing it in for a day driving carefully just to check all is good than later that night i went down kings way and gave it some stick than slowed down to a round about dropped into 3rd slowly the car juddered and than stalled, i started her back up and it won't go into any gear because the bracket that holds the cables on the gearbox 1 of them had come loose and will now need welding on, the clutch is a helix paddle clutch which i bought second hand, i than opened the bonnet and manually changed the gears to see if my gear box had gone but they went in fine.when started i tried to let go of the clutch but keeps on stalling. ![]()
